As of this month, we began a new advertising partnership with Complex Ad in our most drastic move yet to put an end to the malicious ads slipping into the site. However, this initiative does not end there. In our ongoing effort to improve your ad experience on Know Your Meme, we would like to hear your thoughts on your current ad experience on Know Your Meme, including specific aspects of ad experience that need to be improved, and perhaps more importantly, ways to resolve major ad issues effectively, once and for all.
One of the biggest obstacles we are facing at the moment is the exceptionally high percentage of adblock usage on Know Your Meme, particularly on desktop. Aaaaand yes, we totally get it. Ads, they're everywhere, and our site is certainly exception to it. They can be distracting, or even worse, get in the way of your dank meme digest. No one wants that. We don't want that.
Alas, there is a catch 22 to all this: In order to improve your site experience (including ads) and other features on Know Your Meme, we need our users to allow the ads or find other ways to keep the lights on in the lab and our research in motion.
