Jordison suffered from a degenerative disease throughout the 2010s and it sounds like it might be the main cause of his death at the age of 46. Although he stopped being a part of Slipknot around 2013 or so (he was "let go" when it was clear this disease would only hurt him if he tried to still play drums like he used to), if you're around my age range (30-something millennial) then you're likely familiar with his work in Slipknot. Dude was pretty well regarded, and it sucks to hear this disease not only cost him his career, but his life. Given the tributes the surviving members of Slipknot did after Paul Grey's death in 2010, I think it's safe to assume we'll see some tributes for Jordison in some form (though not sure if it'll be on the next album, according to members of the band it sounds like the album was already really far along prior to news of Jordison's death, though it wouldn't surprise me if Corey alone really wants to include a tribute of some kind on it).
