JD Vance Height or JD Vance 5' 7'' refers to an incorrect Google Search result that shows J.D. Vance's height is 5'7", which was far below his actual stature of roughly 6' 2". After the inaccurate search result spread, Photoshop edits and memes related to Vance's height became a viral topic on the internet in mid-July 2024, notably following the politician's selection as Donald Trump's Vice President in the 2024 Presidential Election.

On July 3rd, 2024, an unknown Redditor[1] posted on the /r/Ohio subreddit asking users if J.D. Vance is "considered tall in Ohio?" The user googled Vance's height and said "he's only 5'7 which seems…awfully short to me?" The post (seen below) amassed more than 575 upvotes and 780 comments in three weeks.

On July 15th, 2024, J.D. Vance's name became a viral topic on the internet[2] as former President Donald Trump announced him as his Vice President and running mate in the 2024 election. Various details about Vance's life, including his height, subsequently started to spark discourse online.
That day, X[3] user @team_chao shared a screenshot (seen below) of the /r/Ohio Reddit post about Vance's height, which amassed more than 43,000 likes and 2,000 reposts in two weeks.
Photoshop edits and memes about Vance's height then started to appear on X, many comparing his height with Donald Trump and other politicians. For example, on July 16th, 2024, X[4] user @AwakenedOutlaw posted a side-by-side comparison of J.D Vance, Donald Trump, Kamala Harris, Joe Biden and other prominent figures (seen below, left) alongside the caption, "No, #JDVance isn't 5'7" and to even assert that ignores the fact he's the same height as Trump at 6'3"." The post amassed roughly 580 likes and 100 reposts in a week.
Also on July 15th, X[5] user @Jbanklestankle1 posted about Vance's height on Google Search results being incorrect (seen below, right), which amassed roughly 30 likes and five reposts in a week.
In late July 2024, various media outlets began covering the story, with some reporting that Vance's actual height is around 6' 2" or 6' 3".[6]
